This way the time you spend on exercise does not drag and listening to music does not make the exercise time drag.

Set pragmatic goals - Remember 'slow and steady wins the race', and keep in mind why you are losing weight. If you think you should lose 50 kgs in a week and bend over backwards trying to reach the goal, you are going to end up frustrated and disappointed and there is a big possibility of you writing off your weight loss program altogether. Make small goals your means to bigger goals and in the end you will have accomplished more than you set out to in the first place.
Pick what you like - Always pick the kid of exercise that you enjoy the most, be it walking, jogging, cycling, hiking, stationery cycling etc. Find the one that works best for you. Do not pick a workout that you do not enjoy or you do not want to do. You will not stick with it for long. When you are doing something that you enjoy, the task is not tedious and monotonous and you will end up exercising your body and invigorating and stimulating your mind.

They may sometimes try to discourage you simply because they may not want to see you succeed where they have failed. They may tell you that you have lost enough weight and look fine. The issue is not what they think of you but what you think of yourself and your body, whether you are contented with yourself or not. If you do not like the way you are then you have to do something about it.
Recognize what your ideal weight should be - There are statistics that indicate what your ideal weight should be. If you are 5 '8' then estimate how much your ideal weight should be.
